Firefly Drive Specifications

The steady top speed of a Firefly electric SUP is 4.7 mph. At this speed your board feels lively and playful on the water. Speed based on operating in calm water without paddling on an 11’ 6“ board with 170 lb rider. Speeds with be faster on a longer board or with a lighter rider. 

Plan on traveling 5 miles on a full-speed session. Or, drop it down to 1/2 speed for a 10 mile session. Speed control is variable so you choose what works best for you.

Speed is controlled using a wireless controller on your wrist. The controller also features an auto-shutoff system in case you fall off the board.  *We use ePropulsion controllers with state-of-the-art electrics. 

Our 24-volt motors are rated at 300 watts of continuous power to keep you zipping right along.  *We use ePropulsion motors with state-of-the-art electrics. 

Our lithium-ion batteries have a capacity of 324 watt-hours (Wh). They are equipped with LED readouts showing the battery charge level. Double up batteries for a whooping 648 watt-hours of onboard power for some serious coastal cruising. *We use ePropulsion batteries with state-of-the-art electrics. 

The battery recharges in three hours. 

A Firefly drive weights 9.5 pounds. This weight is centrally located ensuring your board is balanced and handles great on the water.  

Firefly drives are designed for use in both fresh and saltwater and have a waterproof rating of IP67 for reliable protection. 

Firefly is the only company offering a system to fine tune your direction of travel. Adjust the adaptor plate located in the deck to go straight, or slightly to port or starboard for a more ergonomic paddling experience. 

Firefly drives are designed for quick and easy rigging at the beach. Simply slide the motor shaft through board, insert pin, connect the battery and you're set to go.
